PUCCINI - TOSCA

October - November 2019

Playing the Role of Swiss Guard and touring to Glasgow, Aberdeen, Inverness and Edinburgh... Scottish Opera have taken the Opera Tosca and placed it in 1940s' Rome, in the shadow of Mussolini's tyrannical rule...
Floria Tosca – a smart and passionate woman – attempts to free her lover from the clutches of Baron Scarpia, the lecherous, power-mad Chief of Police. As the stakes get higher she is faced with an impossible choice – will her hopes be crushed or can love win out?
Beautiful arias and rousing musical moments pepper Puccini's score, bringing Tosca's emotional extremes into sharp relief. Director Anthony Besch's shadowy setting further heightens the drama while Peter Rice's sumptuous designs provide a spectacular backdrop.

MISFIT WARRIOR

28, July, 2019

'MeMeh' presents a work in progress performance of Stuart Saints new production, 'MISFIT WARRIOR' which is going to The Space on North Bridge at  this years Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Kieran has been cast in the role of 'The Noise', as well as appearing in alternation with Saint as the character of the 'MISFIT' and the 'WARRIOR' throughout the production.

Electrifying synths, beats and casual choreography generate Stuart Saint’s resplendent testimonial gig, where Misfit and Warrior collide.

His autobiographical story of HIV and Cancer manifest a domino effect of destruction, leaving survivor in crisis Stuart rescuing his mortality.

As writer/director Stuart Saints radical productions at Leicester Square Theatre, Stockwell Playhouse garnered critically praise, ‘Immaculate direction’ – The Stage, for ‘Princess’, ‘De Profundis’, ‘Saucy Jack and the Space Vixens’ and ‘The World Goes ‘Round’.

‘A Force to be reckoned with’ – Musical Theatre Review. Saint, influenced by Fosse, presents an evocative, queer gig inspired by Soft Cell, Fischerspooner, Depeche Mode and Bowie.

OUR TOWN
BY THORTON WILDER

13/14/15 May 2019

Kieran will be performing in the role of Mr Webb, in the production of Our Town, which will be taking place in The Scottish Youth Theatre, Glasgow, May 2019.
Our Town, tells the story of the fictional American small town of Grover's Corners, New Hampshire, between 1901 and 1913 through the everyday lives of its citizens.
Thornton Wilder’s play from 1938 is a deeply compassionate portrait of our brief time on this planet and the importance of the relationships we forge and the rituals we follow. It makes the audience intensely aware of an essential truth; as the stage manager/narrator puts it: “There’s something way down deep that’s eternal about every human being.”
